BJP lifts suspension of T Raja Singh ahead of Telangana polls

The BJP has lifted the suspension of MLA T Raja Singh, allowing him to be a candidate for the Goshamahal assembly seat in the upcoming Telangana assembly elections. Singh was suspended after making controversial remarks about the Prophet Muhammad. He had been critical of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi government for allowing a stand-up comic to perform in Hyderabad. Singh had threatened not to contest the elections if his suspension was not revoked. He is the only BJP MLA elected in 2018.
