This Kargil veteran saw soldiers ripped apart by enemy shells, kept firing

In the Kargil war's 15-day battle, Subedar Roshan Lal's 18 Grenadiers captured Tololing peak. Facing harsh cold and altitude, they fought after Naik Birendra's death, observed a Mi-17 downed, and endured artillery. Despite severe injuries, they also captured Tiger Hills, with Lt Colonel Vishwanathan killed retrieving Major Adhikari's body. Lal now works at Bhonsala Military School.
